16 Unique Coffee Tables That Could Never Be Called Boring

brass and glass funky coffee table

Yes, a coffee table is a functional piece of furniture. It’s where you put your feet up to read the latest issue of Architectural Digest, where you place your Spindrift in between sips, and where the remote is *supposed to go* so you never have to tear the room apart trying to find it. But a coffee table can be functional AND fun. It can make a statement and show off your personality without saying a word. A coffee table can spark joy and start conversations when friends come over. It can serve as a reminder to yourself daily that you’re creating a home that’s true to you, not just something pulled from a generic catalog. I’m talking about unique coffee tables people.

Speaking of generic, scroll through the coffee tables on most furniture websites, and you’ll see a whole lot of the same thing. No ingenuity or fun details. The usual shapes. The usual materials. Basically, a top with some legs. Which is totally fine if you’re the kind of person who’s cool with something that just gets that job done. But you’re reading a blog about coffee tables that aren’t boring-sooooo something tells me you’re not that kind of person. So where can you find a coffee table that’ll wow you?! Don’t worry, lady, I got you:) But first, let’s start by drooling over some killer coffee tables in the wild.

Ok, there are A LOT of yummy things to look at here, so peel your eyes off that amazing millwork on the walls and focus on the coffee table. That green marble beauty commands some serious attention. The oversized scale and placement of the chunky column legs are perfection. “What if we moved the legs even closer? A little more! Even more. Ok, stop, that’s perfect.”

If only this was an Airbnb and not someone’s private home. Sigh. Nothing boring about this cute little boat transformed into a glass-top coffee table. Because it’s absolutely charming and the perfect pick for this Montauk cabin.

Brass and glass don’t sound like a groundbreaking combo, but the base on this brutalist-style coffee table makes it really special. It feels edgy and sexy, and damn, it’s making my pulse race. I don’t even want to call it a coffee table; it’s a floor sculpture.

Alright, let’s wrap up this drool sesh. So here’s a little round-up of unique coffee tables that’ll make you go weak in the knees.

My favorite, hands down, is that freaking adorable snail table?! He’s working so hard to hold up that glass top-you’re doing great, buddy! I also love the funky organic shape of the solid brass coffee table. It’s the wacky, wavy, inflatable arm man of the coffee table world.

Let’s check out some exciting square and rectangular options.

There are lots of good, unique coffee tables here! A white marble coffee table isn’t all that crazy, but the two separate pieces and varying heights give it the perfect amount of funkiness. And the turquoise rams head coffee table is a fun twist on the classic brass version.

Now you can sleep easy tonight knowing that it’s not all cookie-cutter, boring coffee tables out there. There are some real showstoppers, and you don’t even have to search far and wide for them cause I did it for ya. You’re welcome:)
